        Shiketa D. Days was born and raised in Miami, Fla., A small city called Liberty City, also known as the - Brown Sub -. Liberty City is known for gun violence, gang activity- and low- income housing.   

​Shiketa is also a mother, wife, and has been a full-time police dispatcher for 15 years. She has also taken on a leadership role in life as a community leader and business woman. Shiketa is also a founding member of Nspire Network, -Now We No- awareness campaign and -Right To Fight. The campaign is informing men and women of the harmful effects of chemicals in the market sanitary napkins, offering a safer brand for women. Shiketa has recently started her own financial and life insurance agency, which helps individuals with debt solutions and financial preparation for their future and families’ futures.

 

Her goal is to help others succeed and leave a legacy for her family. Most of all keep her son’s name alive so that his death was not in vain.

In 2014, Shiketa won Employee of the Year for Miami Springs Police Dept. Shiketa was also featured in -Who’s Who’s Recognition 2015- and has recently been selected as a candidate for the Who’s Who’s professional network for 2018. In January 2015, Shiketa D. Days published her first book, -Derrick Danzel Days II Story- (Young and Murdered), which tells the story of her son’s murder and how she was able to overcome illness, depression- and the trials and tribulations she faced surrounding the incident.

 

Shiketa has a passionate heart for helping others succeed.  

Shiketa Duberry Days has taken on many projects in the last few years. Just to list a couple, she is currently raising awareness in health and gun violence through her organization, the -Derrick Danzel Days II Corporation, founded in loving memory of her son, who was shot and killed at 10 months old.
